Statement of Platform:
As a CRNA Board Chairman within a nationwide anesthesia care team (ACT), I’ve seen extensive growth of these large organizations which employ thousands of our Texas CRNAs. Regenerating our growth and positions by increasing CRNA executive and clinical leadership throughout ACTs is crucial to ensure a more secure future for CRNAs in today’s complex healthcare system. A long overdue paradigm shift is necessary to enhance our presence within these multifaceted corporations - paving the way for CRNA stakeholder ship, amending pay gaps between CRNAs and MDs, halting AA practice, and allowing CRNA full scope of practice across Texas. The hurdles have been well known for decades and the time for CRNA advocacy and change within ACTs is NOW!
