Statement of Platform:
Protecting the rights and abilities of the CRNA in the state of Texas to work autonomously, to the full
extent of our scope of practice, is the absolute duty of the Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
As a partner in an all-CRNA practice, I fully understand the professional and political climate of
anesthesia. I promise to continue the tireless work of maintenance and promotion of the CRNA in
this and all types of practice settings.

During my tenure on the TxANA Board of Directors, I have had the opportunity to be involved in the
strategic planning process for the association. Based on the results of this effort, I can assure you
that TxANA has ambitious yet realistic plans to provide its members with an effective and valuable
product. Your vote would allow me the distinct privilege to oversee the full deployment of this plan
and to lead the CRNAs in the state into what I believe will be a very productive future.
