Texas nurse anesthesia programs battle head-to-head in a lightning-fast competition that tests clinical knowledge, reflexes, teamwork and program pride. Every question matters. Every second counts. Only one program leaves with the title.
The TxANA College Bowl puts SRNAs at center stage as they represent their nurse anesthesia programs in a rapid-fire clinical knowledge competition. The pressure starts with the first question and builds with every round.
Teams race to the buzzer, tackle tough questions, and rely on each other to stay alive in the bracket. Preparation matters, instincts matter, and hesitation can cost a point.
Classmates compete side by side, defend their program pride, and push for a place in the final. By the end of the night, one team will stand above the rest as the TxANA College Bowl champion.

Once recognized, your team has five seconds to answer. Miss it, and the opposing team gets an immediate chance to steal the point.
Judges decide whether an answer counts, and their rulings stand. Once the call is made, the competition moves on.
College Bowl keeps the bracket simple and the stakes high. Two opening matchups send one winner each into the championship round.
Last year's champions—SRNAs from the UTHealth Houston Nurse Anesthesia Program, Cizik School of Nursing—return to the College Bowl stage ready to defend their title, protect their program pride and keep The Boot in Houston.
They've proved they can handle the questions, beat the buzzer, and finish on top. Now every competing program gets a shot at taking the title from them.
The College Bowl champion takes home a cowboy boot that serves as the competition’s traveling trophy.
After the convention, the champions transform The Boot with their program colors and keep it on campus for the year.
When the next TxANA Annual Convention arrives, they return ready to pass it on—or watch a new team fight to claim it.
When the final buzzer sounds and The Boot finds its next home, the celebration starts right away.
