Wendy Odell, DNP, CRNA
Vice President & Education Committee Chair, 2022-2023
As Vice President and Education Committee Chair, I extend a Big Texas invitation to attend TxANA's Annual Convention, set for January 21-23, 2023, in Austin, TX. This is TxANA’s first statewide, in-person event in nearly three years!
Join us at the Hilton Austin located in the heart of the Texas Capitol City for networking with CRNA and SRNA colleagues. Enjoy professional updates from state and national leaders and earn CE credits from clinical experts designed to advance your practice!
TxANA’s Board of Directors and staff are putting in vigorous efforts to organize an engaging and dynamic event for 2023. I want to thank the TxANA Education Committee members, and former Chair Amy Blok, DNP, CRNA, for their commitment to prioritizing the best educational opportunities for their peers.
TxANA aligns our convention with National CRNA Week, a celebration established in 2000 to commemorate the profession of nurse anesthesia. Attendees will participate in TxANA's Day at the Capitol on January 23, the final day of the convention. This is your opportunity as a constituent to meet with State Legislators and their crucial staff members to discuss the importance of CRNA practice and our impact on healthcare delivery and patient advocacy. Students will also participate in these visits!
The schedule and information can be found on the TxANA website here.
TxANA recognizes the dedication SRNAs are making to advance their future careers as CRNAs, and we enthusiastically encourage them to attend the upcoming Convention. As an educator myself, I highly recommend meeting with the leaders of your profession and learning more about your state association as you start your career.
Thank you for being a member of TxANA. See you in January!
