Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists Appoints Andrea Pee as Executive Director/CEO

AUSTIN, TX—The Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists (TxANA) Board of Directors has appointed Andrea Pee as the new Executive Director/CEO of TxANA.

“We are excited for Andrea to continue her work with TxANA in this new role,” said Amy Blok, DNP, CRNA, President of TxANA. “Her experience in various roles with TxANA positions her well to serve the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and patients of Texas.”

Pee’s background as an executive director, combined with her eight years of experience with TxANA will help to further advance the mission of the organization. As Executive Director/CEO, Pee will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction of TxANA, strengthening relationships with key partners, fostering member engagement, and overseeing the association's day-to-day operations.  

"It is an honor to continue serving Texas CRNAs as the Executive Director/CEO of TxANA,” Pee said. “This association has a strong legacy of advancing patient safety and the profession of nurse anesthesia in Texas. I’m thrilled to serve one of the most valuable professions in my new role and look forward to building upon this legacy for our members.”

Advancing patient safety and the profession of nurse anesthesia, the Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists (TxANA) was founded on Aug. 9, 1974. Its goals include facilitating cooperation between nurse anesthetists and the healthcare profession, hospitals, providers, and other agencies interested in anesthesia. The membership is limited to Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and nurse anesthesia students who are also American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) members.
