President, 2022-2023

Greetings, TxANA members. I am happy to write to you going into the holiday season, but as you know, that means the Legislative Session is quickly approaching us!

In September, the 2022-2023 TxANA Board of Directors (BOD) was sworn into duty. In October, we met in Austin for our annual Leadership Retreat to train for our roles, discuss best practices and highlight what we want to accomplish for the following year. In 2021, TxANA's past BOD developed a Strategic Plan to use as a reminder of our goals and how we will advance patient safety and the profession of nurse anesthesia in our state.

We are enthusiastically preparing for TxANA's Annual Convention in January, and we hope you will make it out to Austin in the new year! Network with fellow CRNAs, attain continuing education (CE) credit and attend the Annual Business Meeting, where you can learn more about the association's governance and practice your right to vote. Don't miss out on seeing your colleagues and celebrating the profession of nurse anesthesia with us!
