Ready to see how federal policy impacts your future practice? TxANA’s Mid-Year Assembly Scholarship sends one SRNA to Washington, D.C., to experience advocacy in action, connect with CRNA leaders from across the country, and represent Texas on Capitol Hill.
Scholarship Award The scholarship provides reimbursement for expenses related to attending the AANA Mid-Year Assembly (April 24-29), up to a maximum of $1,500.
Application Deadline Applications are open through March 10, 2026.
Eligibility Applicants must:
Be a TxANA member
Be currently enrolled in an accredited Texas nurse anesthesia program
Be in good standing with their program
Meet all requirements outlined in the scholarship application
TxANA is proud to support Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs) through scholarship opportunities that encourage involvement in advocacy, professional development, and the future of nurse anesthesia. SRNA members may apply for the two scholarships to the Annual Conference (launched in late May) and one scholarship to the AANA Mid-Year Assembly (launched in late February), offering invaluable opportunities for networking and professional development.
All scholarship applications are reviewed by the TxANA Executive Committee. Application deadlines are set by TxANA staff based on event timelines.

Scholarships are not to exceed $1,500 reimbursement per student, per meeting.
Purpose To encourage student involvement in political issues that impact CRNAs, and to engender involvement on the state and national levels.

TxANA Annual Convention Scholarship
Applications open mid-2026.
Application Process
Eligible students must apply through the TxANA online application form
Applications are processed in the order received
Selection considers student involvement in TxANA, with efforts to rotate representation among Texas programs when possible
Program Directors will be contacted to confirm academic and clinical suitability prior to award
Any unused funds at the end of the fiscal year will be rolled over to support future scholarships
Recipient Responsibilities
Attend the convention in its entirety as a representative of TxANA
Dress and behave in a professional manner
Attend TxANA CRNA Day at the Capitol and designated legislative meetings
Submit receipts and a reimbursement form within 14 days following the meeting
Contribute a scholarly article (up to 500 words) for the TxANA Newsletter reflecting on their experience or key takeaways
